The short version is this: In November of 2013 I bought my first double-edge razor, and promptly fell down the rabbit hole of discovering a new world of shaving.

Unlike many shaving blogs out there, I have no idea what I’m doing.  I’m figuring this out as I go, and posting the results.  What worked, what didn’t, and what I’m finding out.

For 2014, a large chunk of this will be working through a sample pack of blades and posting my results with them.  Unlike cartridge razors, which generally have only  a couple of type of replacement cartridges that will fit the handle, there is a huge world of blades out there for DE razors that vary in various ways.  I’ll be putting some of them to the test that matters most to me: how they work on my face.

Additionally, since my wife and I are living about 2,000 miles from our nearest family I will from time to time post about other adventures we have.

Why “A Man Over Bored”?

The title can be read a couple different ways.  Either it means that I’m over being bored and wanting to make dull things more interesting, or that I’m too bored.  I’ll let the readers decide which one fits best.

About me: I’m a law student, currently living in Alexandria, VA and attending school in DC.  I’m married to my best friend, and she makes life pretty grand.
